We are moving to Alabama for 11 months.
When we first found out, Jason was deployed and I had been on my own with the kids for about seven months. I was pretty tired, so my first thought was, "I can't imagine unpacking the entire house for such a short move, by the time I finish it will be time to start moving again." I still haven't finished unpacking from our current move and we've been here almost two years.
I considered leaving most of the stuff in boxes, just unpacking clothes and kitchen stuff.
Then I thought, why not just move into a furnished apartment, leaving most of our belongings in storage?
It occurred to me that we have our very own furnished "apartment" - our camper. Why not just move into our camper for this PCS? So this brilliant idea of mine was born from laziness. Don't most great ideas start that way?
I had to convince Jason. His first reaction was absolutely not. So we dropped it, and started exploring our other options.
When he realized all the other options would require lots of work, he finally came around. Again, laziness always wins!
So we're moving this summer, two adults, four kids, three fish, two cats and a dog. And we're going to live in our camping trailer. Because we're lazy.
